Travel throughout Virginia with us, Kelly and John, a daughter-in-law/father-in-law coffee-loving team, as we visit the coffee places in the Charlottesville area, looking for our favorite spots.
We have been visiting the local shops together since both families moved to Charlottesville. We began this project to share what we've found and continue to find, to help others along their own journey.
C'ville is a food destination, and as such, it has great coffee—get out there and enjoy it.

Our Process and Ethics
We love well-crafted coffee, so that is our main focus.
We like to sit, enjoy our drink, and talk; therefore, the environment of a place is important.
Coffee means community to us, so we expect a friendly staff, owners who care enough to show up, a clean establishment, and happy clientele.
Convenience is also a big part—we evaluate ease of access, parking, seating, wifi, and hours.
Pastries are a plus, and we'll test what looks good to us.
Realizing that no place is perfect, we don't dwell on the negatives but always attempt to give a fair accounting.
Our ethical tenets are independence, honesty, respect, fairness, and accountability.
